Artwork and Production Workflow

Choose the finished size, orientation and corner style before designing. Prepare the artwork at final size with bleed, and provide separate foil-mask or variable-data files when those options are selected.

Print-ready artwork may proceed without a design proof unless one is requested or a file issue is found. Carefully verify spelling, numbers, QR codes, orientation, trim safety and foil-mask placement before production.

Matte Cover Cardstock

80 lb, 100 lb and 130 lb matte cover. Low-glare coated surface with a refined appearance.

Uncoated Cover Cardstock

80 lb, 100 lb and 130 lb uncoated cover. Natural, writable surface with a softer print appearance.

C1S Cardstock

10 pt, 12 pt, 14 pt, 16 pt and 18 pt coated-one-side cardstock. Useful when one side needs a coated finish and the reverse should remain uncoated.

C2S Cardstock

10 pt, 12 pt, 14 pt, 16 pt and 18 pt coated-two-side cardstock for consistent printing and finish on both sides.

Colored & Natural Cardstock

65 lb bright-color cover, 67 lb vellum pastel, 80 lb natural and 100 lb natural cardstock.

Textured & Specialty Cardstock

Gold Foil

Soft-touch lamination with gold foil may be applied to selected elements on the front only or on both sides.

Silver Foil

Soft-touch lamination with silver foil may be applied to selected elements on the front only or on both sides.

Foil Mask File Setup: Each side receiving foil requires a separate print-ready mask PDF. Use solid 100% black for every element that should receive foil and white for all non-foil areas. Match the page size, orientation and exact element positions of the regular print artwork. Do not use grayscale, screens, gradients, shadows, transparency or color in the mask. Name files clearly, such as Front-Print.pdf, Front-Foil-Mask.pdf, Back-Print.pdf and Back-Foil-Mask.pdf.
Corner Options

Choose square corners, four 1/8" rounded corners or four 1/4" rounded corners.

Square CornersTraditional straight-corner finish.
Four 1/8" Rounded CornersA subtle rounded appearance.
Four 1/4" Rounded CornersA more prominent rounded appearance.
Variable Text Requirements
  1. Supply the print artwork as a PDF with the variable text positions clearly identified.
  2. Supply variable information as XLS, XLSX or CSV with one record per row.
  3. Use clear column headings and remove formulas, merged cells, hidden columns and blank rows.
  4. Include a sample showing how each data field should appear in the design.
Important: Variable images, QR codes, barcodes or sequential numbering may require file review or a custom quote unless separately offered.
Packaging & Artwork Options

Shrink wrapping: No shrink wrap or shrink wrap in sets of 25, 50, 100, 250 or 500.

Artwork: Upload print files now, upload print files later or request design service billed separately.

Submit one print-ready PDF for each printed side. Foil orders require a separate black-only mask PDF for each side receiving foil.

Print File Checklist
  • Use the template matching the finished size, orientation and corner style.
  • Extend backgrounds and images through the bleed area.
  • Keep logos, headlines, QR codes and contact information inside the safety margin.
  • Remove nonprinting guides before exporting the final PDF.
Two-Sided Artwork

Submit separate front and back PDFs. Both files must use the same page size and orientation. Verify the top edge so the reverse side is not rotated unexpectedly.

Foil Artwork Files

Submit the regular print file and a separate black-only foil mask for each foiled side. Do not combine foil-mask objects into the regular print artwork.

Variable Text Data

Upload a clean XLS, XLSX or CSV file with one record per row and one variable field per column. Include a sample or mapping guide.
