Our paper guide will help you choose the perfect paper for your project.
Gloss Coated Paper Very smooth Vibrant color Difficult to write on Gloss Coated Paper provides a lot of shine, which results in a higher contrast and color gamut than other papers. This coating is good for full color images where the color needs to “pop”. This coating gives a very nice finish and professional look for marketing materials or any other kinds of prints that want to show off the color.
Matte Coated Paper Smooth Softer color Okay to write on Matte Coated Paper has a light coating that provides a boost to the contrast to images, but results in little glare. The matte coating provides a smoother presentation than an uncoated sheet, and softer than the appearance of a glossy sheet. Matte sheets are good for enhancing visual designs with a more subdued layout and color set without having a lot of glare which glossy coatings suffer from.
Uncoated Paper Porous Warmer color Easy to write on Uncoated Paper has no extra coating or paper finishing. Since there is no coating, there is no glare on the surface. This makes it ideal for prints that have a lot of text or reading materials. Since there is no coating, this is the most porous paper, which is the best for smudge-less writing with the widest range of pens and pencils when compared to the other finishes. All bond stock paper is uncoated.
Quick Tips Cover is thick paper or cardstock. Text or Bond or Book are not as thick as cardstock. They are thin like everyday copy paper. The numbers next to the paper represent the weight of the paper. The higher the number, the thicker the paper. C2S indicates coated on two sides. C1S indicates coated on one side. Ultra Violet (UV) Gloss is a high gloss coating, Aqueous (AQ) is a glossy coating, and Matte finish is a non-glossy, flat finish. You cannot write or print on UV Gloss stocks, and we do not guarantee that you will be able to write on AQ coated stocks.
Sequential Numbering, also known as Consecutive Numbering, refers to the printing of ascending or descending identification numbers so that each printed unit receives its own unique number. Adding this feature helps streamline records for data monitoring and record keeping.
