What is the difference between standard, high-tack and low-tack vinyl?Standard vinyl is a versatile everyday choice for compatible smooth surfaces. High-tack vinyl uses a stronger adhesive for surfaces where standard vinyl may not bond reliably. Low-tack vinyl is better suited to applications where easier removal or repositioning is important.
What is Etchmark vinyl?Etchmark vinyl creates a frosted, etched-glass appearance on compatible glass and smooth surfaces. It is commonly used for privacy graphics, decorative window designs, logos and office-glass applications.
What does vinyl weeding mean?Weeding removes the excess vinyl around and inside the cut lettering, logos or shapes so only the finished graphic remains on the release liner.
What does transfer masking do?Transfer masking temporarily holds separate vinyl letters, logo pieces and graphic elements in their correct positions during installation. The mask is removed after the vinyl has been applied to the surface.
Do I need Cut to Shape (Contour Cut)?Contour cutting defines the finished outline of the vinyl graphic. Use the Artwork setup help beside the option for the required vector cut-path setup and guidance for intricate shapes.
What type of artwork works best for cut vinyl?Clean vector artwork works best. Letters, logos and shapes should have clear closed paths, and very small details, narrow strokes or complicated inside corners may need to be simplified for reliable cutting and weeding.
Can photographic or full-color artwork be used for this product?Cut vinyl is not a full-color printed graphic. It is intended for lettering, logos and shapes cut from the selected vinyl material. For photographic or multi-color printed graphics, choose a printed adhesive-vinyl product instead.
Can you prepare the artwork for me?Yes. Choose Request Design Service (Bill Later) when the file needs cleanup, vector conversion, resizing, cut-path preparation or other design assistance before production.
Can every cut-vinyl job be produced same day or next day?No. Rush availability depends on the finished size, material, contour complexity, weeding, transfer masking, lamination, quantity and artwork readiness. Production-ready vector artwork is especially important for rush work.
