Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to send postcards to people? Are there other ideas for how I can use them?
The beauty of a well-designed postcard is that you can use it in a wide variety of ways. Some popular approaches include coupons, street marketing handouts and more.
Do you have postcard design tips for postcard printing?
Yes – here are a few things to keep in mind as you design.
(1) Keep your design simple. Always remember that postcards are small, so a lot of complicated information can overwhelm its recipient. Identify the top few things you want a customer to know, and then focus on those points. Including a strong call to action – a website URL, phone number or address – gives people a way to learn more once they’ve become interested in what you have to say.
(2) Stand out with photography or a logo. Odds are good that your business postcards will be competing for attention with other promotional pieces – in a letterbox, on a notice board or even in your business. Bold colors, a high-quality image or your logo can help your postcard get noticed.
(3) Create a consistent look. It’s easy to use your font choice, logo and colors to create a matching business look across other marketing products, like business cards, signage and more. With a few matching products, you’re well on your way to establishing a recognizable, professional brand.

Quick Tips
C1S indicates coated on front side and uncoated on back side. C2S indicates coated on both sides.
Glossy stocks provide brighter colors, whereas matte and uncoated stocks provide softer colors. We do not recommend using heavy,
dark ink on uncoated stocks due to offsetting.
You cannot write or print on UV (Ultra Violet) coated stocks, and we do not guarantee that you will be able to write on aqueous
coated stocks. UV coating gives a higher level of glossiness than aqueous gloss coating. Aqueous satin is a popular compromise between
gloss and matte, offers a pleasing sheen and good sheet protection. UV coating is more durable, scratch-resistant and provides better
protection against moisture, dirt, and chemicals.
Spot UV set up: When creating a Spot UV job, you must include a Spot UV template file along with the regular
print file. The Spot UV template file is used to show where the UV coating needs to be applied. For better quality we recommend creating
mask files in vector based programs such as Illustrator or CorelDraw.
Please only use solid 100% K to indicate where you would like the UV. Do not use shadows, glows or gray scale images. White will indicate
no UV. Remember, if it's white, you can write!
