What is the difference between PVC and styrene?PVC is generally the more rigid and substantial option, especially in thicker gauges. Styrene is thinner and lighter, making it useful for inserts, retail graphics, display panels and temporary applications where a heavy rigid board is not necessary.
Which PVC thickness should I choose?Thinner 1mm and 3mm PVC work well for lightweight displays and inserts, while 6mm and 12mm PVC provide more thickness and rigidity. The best choice depends on the finished size, mounting method, handling and expected service life.
Which styrene thickness should I choose?.015" styrene is the thinnest and most flexible option, .030" adds more body, and .060" provides the most stiffness among the available styrene choices.
Can PVC and styrene be laminated?Yes, compatible configurations can use gloss, matte or dry-erase lamination. Depending on the selected setup, lamination can be applied to the printed face or to both sides.
Can the sign be cut to a custom shape?Yes, when the selected configuration supports Cut to Shape (Contour Cut). Provide a clean closed vector path that defines the finished shape and follow the Artwork setup instructions shown with the option.
Can grommets be added?Yes. Available grommet placements include four corners and several edge-spacing patterns. Keep important artwork clear of the grommet area and make sure the selected thickness and mounting method are appropriate for the installation.
What file format should I provide?A print-ready PDF is preferred whenever practical. Keep logos and text vector when possible, embed or outline fonts, and use adequate image resolution at the final size.
