What makes Suede Bookmarks different?Suede Bookmarks use 16pt cardstock with a soft-touch suede laminate, giving the finished piece a velvety matte surface and a premium tactile feel.
Is the suede finish glossy?No. The suede laminate has a smooth matte appearance with very low glare. Glossy contrast can be added selectively when Spot UV is chosen.
Are Suede Bookmarks waterproof?No. The laminate improves resistance to routine moisture and handling, but the finished bookmark should not be treated as waterproof.
What is Spot UV?Spot UV is a selective glossy treatment applied to chosen areas of the design. It creates contrast against the soft matte suede surface and works well for logos, patterns and headlines.
Can Spot UV cover the entire bookmark?Spot UV is intended as a selective accent rather than a full-surface coating. It is most effective when used to highlight specific design elements.
What types of designs work well with suede lamination?Premium branding, elegant typography, dark backgrounds, luxury promotions, event artwork and designs with strong tonal contrast work especially well with the soft-touch surface.
How should I prepare the artwork?Prepare artwork at final size in CMYK color. Use 300 dpi raster images, include bleed when artwork reaches the trim, and keep important text and logos safely inside the cut line.
